Looking Back on 2017 and Forward to 2018

We're finishing up a season of writing, resting, and recording - we have been busy preparing for 2018!

2017 was a year of change, preparation, and much needed rest. We got to see so many of you at our shows and we were honored to see God at work in many lives...including ours. We were so blessed to play music around the country and even be invited to play at Creation Festival NorthEast this past Summer alongside some of our favorite artists.

As many of you know, we've been playing music together as a family since 1995 - that's over 20 years! So, we took a large portion of last year to regroup, refocus, and rest.

Our family and ministry has been through many changes over the years. Our latest change came last Spring when our oldest brother/bassist/banjo player, Matthew, after much prayer and consideration, decided it was time to come off the road in order to spend more time with his wife and home church. We miss him on the road but we understand and support his decision wholeheartedly.

We've spent the last year writing songs that we're extremely excited to record and make available! We believe that these are the most personal, honest songs we've ever written. This will also be the most "Birdsong" album to date. We're pouring so much of ourselves into this project and we're thankful to God for entrusting the messages of these songs to us!

We have just finished pre-production for our new album The Journey: Act II; The War. We have been working in our home studio since September and TODAY we started recording at Lakeside Studios with Travis Wyrick! Be looking for a release date in the next few weeks!
